Short project description

Inventory Management System is a complete solution for centralized products data storage and product maintenance on enterprise level. This solution consists of set of subprojects that are working together to provide user interfaces for products maintenance (IMS - Web GUI), export procedures for other subsystems (GDF - Windows Services and GUI), allow data retrieving for other enterprise applications (InvService - Web Service).

IMS
Web GUI provides a complete set of functionality needed for products maintenance (products search, using of custom filters, grid views modification, managing of administrative part, etc.). It also has Product Change Wizard that allows users to change either single product or number of selected products at once.

GDF
Exports engine provides an ability to export products from IMS database to other subsystems such as ESP, IPS and few others. It allows to configure export plans, define source/target data storage (DB/Excel/Text file), set up scheduling for plans execution and analyze execution logs. The project consists of GDF Service (Windows service) that acts as main export engine and GDF Manager that provides GUI for export engine.

InvService
InvService is WebService that provides ability for other applications (such as ESP and IPS) to retrieve products pricing information. Products information is given from the IMS database and price info – from the Pricing database. This allows to use single service to get data from different databases.

All of these projects utilize common ERP subsystems, such as Configuration Manager, Security Manager, Tailoring Manager and Report Manager.
