Short project description

This application was designed and developed for managing of releases and installations of different software for Software Development companies, ISP and other organizations that need to maintain an installation of different software versions or the same version but at different locations. Each product in the system can contain few different packages, such as DB, Business Logic, GUI, Web client, Windows client and so on. Release can contain update for all packages or only some of them for this product. Also release includes next addition information: version, notes, responsible person, installation and deinstallation instruction and path to folder with binary files for this release. Installation contains information about next items: package, version, installed location (server and path), responsible person, type of installation (installation, update, uninstall). Installation can also contain packages from other products if they need to use together. Version Control also supports different reports with information about installation, installation for current profile, installations at server and so on.

This system also uses next applications: Configuration Manager, Security Manager, Report Manager and Tailoring Manager. Using these systems simplifies security management and allows changing reports without any changes to Version Control application.
