Short project description

Many applications need different algorithms that can be often changed, or which are built on dynamic parameters, which change often or are selected from other databases or calculated in other systems. Realizing such algorithms directly in the applications is not the best solution, as it will cause often changes of the applications themselves. Tailoring solves this problem.

Tailoring is used to create and modify sets of options, which can have constant values, values calculated on basis of SQL requests or VBScript.

To calculate option values, a defined set of input parameters can be used.

Binary data can be used as options values. Which means, except realization of configurable functionality, Tailoring can be used as a central repository for different documents, graphic presentations and other data or parameters of business applications.

Tailoring has three-tiered architecture. The tailoring server is realized as Web Service. In its work, Tailoring uses the Configuration Manager. To provide data protection for the tailoring system, the Security Manager developed by DevCom is used. To adjust Tailoring, Tailor Manager is used.
